About Me
My name is Cameron Blake. I am currently a Senior at North Carolina State University majoring in Fashion and Textile Design with a concentration in Textile Design.
Throughout my life, I have been surrounded by design from growing up with an interior designer as a mother to a photographer and graphic designer as a brother. When it came to choosing what I wanted to do with the rest of my life, it was not a hard choice. I knew from the beginning that I wanted to be a designer.
I refer to design as my safe haven, where I can let my self loose and let every emotion, desire, or problems flow out of me. Although I let myself loose, I also rely on structure and organization throughout my work. Through every piece of art I create, I try to tell a story so that individuals are able to understand and experience the same feelings or emotions that I am trying to portray. As the world is gearing more toward technology, it is losing the uniqueness and the true form of art. As a textile designer, my main goal is to bring back the artistic and natural side of design.
